We price our software based on the number of accounts you bill for, which allows us to make MuniBilling affordable for organizations of all sizes. There is a one-time setup and training fee, followed by a recurring monthly charge that includes unlimited support and software upgrades.

Do I need any special equipment?

Do I need any special equipment?

MuniBilling is a cloud-based application, so all you need is an internet connection to use our software. However, our software does integrate with scanners, card readers, and other equipment you may already have.

MuniBilling includes a mobile-friendly meter reading app, replacing the need for expensive meter reading equipment. Even if you don’t have internet service while reading meters along your routes, our team will work with you to solve any issue that comes up.

With MuniBilling you have options to provide bills either electronically or printed and mailed. Bills can be processed through our preferred printing partner as well as provided via electronic presentment methods such as ebills or directly within our self-service customer portal.🍀

MuniBilling offers a fully integrated payment processing option for credit and debit cards as well as eChecks either initiated from our self-service customer portal or via face-to-face terminals within the office. Additional payment acceptance options are through an automated pay by phone (IVR) system or through lockbox services - allowing you to provide several  options for payment acceptance and processing to your customers.

MuniBilling provides a Service Order module that enables the end user the ability to enter, assign, and manage service orders at the customer or parcel level. It is also integrated with our late charges feature in creating service orders based on delinquency procedures such as door tags, shut offs, or other notifications.

Our solution is cloud based and built with scaleability, data redundancy and resiliency in mind. Access is securely controlled to all resources and virtual servers. Data is back-up continually on separate servers and stored in different server locations on different U.S. based power grids.

You can include as many user logins as you need for your system and MuniBiling provides several permission options. Need access for a data entry user or a user that requires access to all functions? We have you covered and these permission levels can be configured during the implementation process and adjusted on an as needed basis.

Munibilling works with real-time data. Payments show up as soon as they are posted on the account and customer records update as soon as the customer, or your customer service team, updates the user's record.

Yes, MuniBilling provides standard integrations with many industry metering systems. Some of the more common systems include Neptune, Badger, Sensus, Itron, and Aclara.
